Frequently Asked Questions
What if the latest timesheets do not appear?
If the timesheets for the weeks after the start of a new fiscal year are not visible, this probably means that the manager of your organization has not yet created the new fiscal year.
To create a new fiscal year, managers can follow the detailed instructions in this article: Start a New Fiscal Year
How are vacation hours calculated?
The method for calculating vacation hour banks can vary from one organization to another.
In some cases, hours are credited at the start of the fiscal year or contract and then deducted as needed. In other cases, hours are accumulated gradually.
Feuille de Temps automatically adapts and calculates the vacation banks once the rules are set by your manager.
How are sick leave hours calculated?
The method for calculating sick leave hour banks can vary from one organization to another.
In some cases, hours are credited at the start of the fiscal year or contract and then deducted as needed. In other cases, hours are accumulated gradually.
Feuille de Temps automatically adapts and calculates the sick leave banks once the rules are set by your manager.
How is overtime calculated?
- When a timesheet is signed, the total amount of overtime for the week is added to the overtime bank.
- If the total number of work, leave, and vacation hours for the week is less than the expected total, time-off hours automatically appear to complete the week.
- When a timesheet is signed, the total amount of time-off hours for the week is deducted from the overtime bank.
Example:
I have 15 hours of overtime in the bank and usually work 32 hours a week.
This week, I only worked 30 hours.
When I sign my timesheet, my overtime bank will be reduced by 2 hours.
In certain provinces and territories, overtime is increased after a specific number of hours per day or week.
If this applies to you, the mention "Specific calculation applied" will appear when you hover over the overtime hours in the timesheet.
If you are a manager and want to apply this specific rule for your organization, read the article configure overtime premium
What is the difference between saving and signing a timesheet?
Save
You save your timesheet every time you modify it and want to save the changes. You can save it multiple times. For example, each day of the week if you fill out your timesheet daily.
Sign
You sign your timesheet when it is complete and ready to be reviewed by your manager. You sign only once.
